Military Relocation
Serving those who serve
Military relocation and VA home buying in Sacramento County
Military service protects the freedom to buy a home anywhere in this country. As a Military Relocation Professional (MRP), I help active-duty service members, veterans, and military families buy and sell homes in Elk Grove and throughout Sacramento County, on timelines that fit PCS orders.
How I help military families
- Planning around report dates and PCS timelines
- Virtual tours and video walk-throughs when you can’t be here in person
- Connecting you with lenders experienced in VA loans
- Explaining VA appraisal and property requirements
- Helping you sell or prepare to rent your current home
VA loan basics
- Eligible borrowers with full entitlement may buy with no down payment
- No private mortgage insurance (PMI) is required
- A VA funding fee usually applies; some veterans are exempt
- The home must meet VA minimum property requirements
- You will need a Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
Loan rules can change. A VA-experienced lender can confirm what applies to you.
Military relocation questions, answered
What is a Military Relocation Professional (MRP)?
MRP is a certification from the National Association of REALTORS® for agents who have trained to work with active-duty service members, veterans, and military families, including PCS moves and VA financing.
Can I buy a home before I arrive in Sacramento County?
Often, yes. Many military buyers start with video tours and virtual showings, then complete the purchase on a timeline that matches their orders. Your lender and I can explain what needs to happen in person.
Can I use a VA loan more than once?
In many cases, yes. VA loan entitlement can often be restored or reused. A VA-experienced lender can review your entitlement and options.
